The staff at The Leaf Munnar were incredibly warm and welcoming. I want to give a special thanks toMr. Sijo Varghese, the executive chef who went out of his way to make sure we had an amazing dining experience. The variety and quality of the food were top-notch, especially the local Kerala dishes.

I recently stayed at Blanket Hotel & Spa in Munnar, and it was a luxurious experience from start to finish. Located near the breathtaking Attukad Falls, the hotel offers stunning views of the waterfalls and the lush green hills.
From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, and a special mention goes to Sardha Chhetri at the front desk, who made sure our stay was smooth and enjoyable.
The infinity pool overlooking the valley was one of my favorite spots. It was a perfect place to relax and take in the beauty of Munnar. The spa services were also excellent, though the price was a bit on the higher side. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the breakfast and dinner buffet had a wide variety of options.
While everything else was nearly perfect, the service in the restaurant could have been a little faster. Our dinner à la carte order took a bit longer than expected, but the food quality made up for it.
If you’re planning a trip to Munnar and looking for a blend of nature and luxury, Blanket Hotel & Spa is a must-visit.

The rooms were clean and cozy providing a relaxing atmosphere throughout my stay. One of the highlights was the trekking experience offered by the hotel which takes you through their backyard forest.
The Galaxy restaurant was a pleasant experience as well. The food was delicious, especially the breakfast buffet, which had a variety of Kerala dishes. A special mention to Tapash and Salyjis, who made my stay extra special by helping me celebrate my anniversary with personalized touches. The restaurant food, especially the breakfast buffet, was delicious with a good variety of dishes to choose from.

I recently stayed at Tea Valley Resort in Munnar, and the experience was nothing short of rejuvenating. The mornings here are particularly magical, with mist rolling over the hills, giving a surreal vibe to the entire stay.
The room I stayed in had a private balcony that opened up to the breathtaking views of the tea plantations. It wasn’t the most luxurious accommodation, but it was clean, comfortable and cozy, providing everything I needed for a relaxing getaway. The ambiance was peaceful and waking up to the sounds of nature made my stay even more special.
One of the highlights of my stay was the food. I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had a variety of tasty options, and the evening cooking demonstrations by Victor, the chef, were a delightful experience.
The staff at Tea Valley Resort were friendly and always eager to help. I felt well taken care of throughout my stay, whether it was arranging transport or attending to my requests promptly.

I’ve explored a lot of places in Munnar during my travels. Here are some spots you must visit:
The tea gardens in Munnar are one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. Everywhere I looked, there were rolling green hills covered in neatly planted tea bushes. Walking through these gardens felt peaceful and refreshing.
The first thing that caught my eye was the beauty of the endless tea plantations. The silence of nature, broken only by the sound of the wind and birds, made it a peaceful experience.
Workers showed me how they pick the best leaves by hand, a skill they have mastered over the years. I even got a chance to taste fresh tea right from the source.
Echo Point is one of the spots in Munnar that brought out the child in me. Located about 15 km from Munnar, I had heard a lot about its natural echo phenomenon, and I was eager to visit. When I arrived, I was not disappointed. The place was full of people laughing and shouting, all trying to hear their voices echo back. When I yelled, the sound came back to me, and it was such a fun experience!
One thing I loved was the serene environment. The beautiful scenery around the lake with tall trees and rolling hills made it even more special. I also tried boating, which added to the excitement. Pedal boats and kayaks are available and it's a great way to explore the calm waters while enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
The place was not overly crowded when I visited, so I could relax and enjoy the echoing sounds and nature around me. It’s a great place for families, couples or anyone looking to reconnect with nature and have some fun.
Rajamalai, part of the Eravikulam National Park, is one of the most amazing places I’ve ever visited in Munnar. The national park is known for its scenic beauty and for being the home of the rare Nilgiri Tahr, a mountain goat that is hard to find elsewhere. When I visited, I was lucky enough to spot several of these goats, which made the trip even more special.
The journey starts with a bus ride provided by the park. It takes you up through the beautiful hills, with waterfalls and streams along the way. The ride itself is a treat, especially if you love nature as much as I do. Once the bus drops you off at the base station, there’s a short uphill walk to reach the best viewpoints.
I found the walk to be quite pleasant and for those who have difficulty walking, electric buggies are available, though they come at an extra cost. It’s worth making the trek though, as the views are more than rewarding.
This place is ideal for nature lovers and families. The park is well-maintained and has a small cafe where you can grab a cup of coffee after the walk.
Attukal Waterfalls in Munnar is a truly peaceful and scenic spot that I absolutely loved visiting. The sound of the water crashing down and the mist in the air make it a great escape from the busy life. The falls are surrounded by green hills and tea plantations, adding to the beautiful scenery. I remember walking across the narrow bridge that connects two villages, and it was a simple but memorable experience as the mist from the waterfall covered me.
The location is a bit off-road, so it can be challenging to reach, especially since the road leading to it is quite narrow. However, the view is worth every minute of the drive. I also found a small tea shop near the falls where I enjoyed some local snacks. While there are no public restrooms or parking spaces, the natural beauty of the waterfall makes up for the lack of facilities.
It’s a quieter spot compared to other tourist attractions in Munnar, so you can really relax and soak in the peaceful surroundings. You can't swim here, but just being near the falls is refreshing enough.
Wonder Valley Adventure and Amusement Park is a unique destination near Munnar, perfect for thrill-seekers and families looking to enjoy some outdoor adventure. I visited the park during my trip and was surprised by the variety of activities it offers. It’s located about 13 km from Munnar, making it an easy getaway for some action-packed fun.
The park has two main sections: the Adventure Zone, where you can try activities like ziplining, rope challenges, and other thrilling games, and the Amusement Zone, which is more laid back with rides for families and kids.
While the adventure activities were exciting, some equipment felt a bit worn out. It’s best enjoyed if you’re visiting with a group, as many activities are perfect for friends or family. However, it might not be as fun for couples looking for a quiet time.
Many of my readers often ask me how to reach Munnar from various cities, so I’ve put together a guide based on my own travels.
